What Utah venues ask for

Most Utah venues, including those in Salt Lake City and Park City, require a certificate of insurance naming the venue as additional insured before they will let you load in. Limits are typically $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate at the baseline, with larger hotels and convention spaces asking for higher limits or specific endorsement wording. We match the certificate to the venue's contract instead of issuing a generic template.

Alcohol and liquor liability

Utah has distinctive alcohol licensing rules regulated by the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services (DABS). Venues typically require Host Liquor Liability on the COI when drinks are complimentary, and standalone Liquor Liability when alcohol is sold or you receive proceeds. When the venue's bar pours under its own DABS license, the venue's commercial liquor policy is primary. If alcohol is on the menu, we add liquor liability to the same policy in the same flow.

Weather and the outdoor question

Wildfire smoke, winter weather at ski venues, altitude effects on guests and gear, and remote venue logistics shape Utah outdoor event planning between June and September. For events with real budget at risk we pair the base liability policy with event cancellation or parametric weather coverage. The trigger gets designed to match the actual risk you are worried about, not a generic template.
